Two days after my successful appeal I've got a reassessment appointment.

I won my appeal yesterday, I have already been requested for an appointment on Saturday (Yep that is tomorrow) for an assessment, so that is one day between “winning” my appeal and having to be reassessed, my appeal took over TWO years to process.
In this process the DWP have rejected the letter from the GP opposing the move from Support to Work group, they rejected the GP's letter for a home visit, they made fake appointments without telling me so they could tick the box of non-attendance regarding work meetings, they ignored at least four letters asking for the information required to make an appeal, ignored all requests asking why I was suspended and the benefits stopped. I was ignored and disregarded at every turn. They lied in their assessment report. Local MP made the decision not to help, she had to the option to help me but choose not to. I have probably left a lot out.
At the bottom of the Decision Notice, it states the Tribunal recommends that DWP reassess within 24 months. Above that it states that the recommendation is not binding etc. but still TWO DAYS seems a bit fast.
What are my options now – regarding getting help from someone on my side?
The DWP have been informed I am unable to go to the appointment tomorrow due to my condition/illness, the tribunal decision notice supports this – however I know they will ignore that – sanction me – start this process all again.
I am one of the most vulnerable people in society, and this is the best they could do.
p.s. If we are having problems building homes in this country – they should get the DWP involved because they love building brick walls.

I'm guessing this is for ESA as in with all of that you mentioned a successful PIP application? If it is another re-assessment for ESA then you will have attend that assessment, or you can request a home assessment supported with a letter from your GP stating the reasons why it's needed. The Tribunal's decision is from your last claim and this new assessment is for a review and i do believe a decision on this review will over ride any Tribunal decision.
They can re-assess you at anytime and i'm guessing while waiting for the Tribunal hearing you received another ESA50 form?0 -
Sorry, yes it is for ESA, PIP is something separate I applied for because I had no money and the Citizens advice bureau said I was entitled to, I have requested a home visit, I suspected the new assessment is to purposely over-ride my tribunal decision.
Well they clearly going to re-assess me at anytime and that two days after I waited two years for the tribunal decision. It just does not seem right.
I don't have form, just an appointment.0 -
it is not the DWP that you need to inform for a request for a home visit. It is the Health Assessment Advisory Service.
Since your appointment is tomorrow then give them a call and explain that you are too ill to travel. You are allowed to cancel your appointment once. This will give you time to get your doctor to write a letter detailing why you cannot get to the appointment and ask for a home visit.

At the same time ask them why you have not received a form to complete. Have you got any recent up to date evidence which you can take/send/give to them for your next appointment?
The appeal you went through was based on how your illness affect you at the time you applied.
So, an assessment now would be looking at how you are now.
I must say that not having a form to complete nor time to gather evidence is unusual. When you telephone explain that there has been no form sent, you have only just won an appeal from WRAG to the Support Group, are very ill and need more time to arrange your evidence.
Good luck!0 -
Thank you for your advice regarding the Health Assessment Advisory Service (Maximus), they were the ones I informed, however in my mind I see them as all the same.
I appreciate the advice and comments from both of you to reply to me, it gives me clarity to my situation ,poppy12345 and pmlindyloo ,Thank you
I will contact the Citizens Advice Bureau when I am able.0
