So you have downloaded the freehold title for the property yes?

It will not be showing the "original freeholder of the property" - it will be showing the current freeholder.

My guess is that the freehold of the 30 properties is still owned by the person named on that Title, and that each house is subject to a lease which you are now being offered.

Yep, it is looking that way. The lease does not bother me, as its only a tenner a year and for about 900 years on that estate. Is this still a major issue if they can not fined the lease documents? I am presuming it is.

Well without th lease, you don't know what the terms are

Can you re-paint externally? Or do you need freeholder's consent? Or must you re-paint eg bi-annually? Who knows?

Can you extend? Put up a garden fence? Keep chickens? Consume alcohol? All these things might be prohibited or restricted by the lease.........

If the lease is FIXED at about a tenner a year for 900 years then it should not cost much to buy the freehold, should you decide to go ahead with the purchase.
  • The list of leases is presumably in the charges register

and presumably the details of the leases are set out (do they not reference a title number by any of the leases) - as to be listed, it means that the leases have been registered against the freehold title.
