ZZPS parking charge when a permit was held.

My daughter Is lucky enough to have a job until she starts university in the new year.

The company she works for has an office in Leicester with a restricted parking allocation. She has been issued with a valid permit.

Unfortunately it seems that the permit blew off her dashboard and landed on her seat. As luck would have it, on this occasion an “operative” from I G Security spotted this and she has been charged £60.00.

She had a valid reason to appeal but the appeal would not be heard until after an imposed 14 day deadline which of course was rejected. She has now been issued with a bill of £160.00. I noticed online that there is yet another “admin fee” of £1.95 too!

I’ve tried to find appropriate documents or forum entry for this but can’t seem to get anything appropriate as she has a permit it has simply fallen of the dashboard!

She can’t afford to pay this and neither can I and it’s causing an awful lot of stress and upset. Could anyone advise where she/we stand as I’d like to politely tell them to “go away” but have no doubt this will not just go away!

IGNORE zzps, they are mere debt collectors with no powers

come back if I G SECURITY or their solicitors issue an LBC or an MCOL within 6 years

THE ABILITY TO PAY OR NOT IS IRRELEVANT

try hard to get the landowner or her firm to cancel it

Post four of the Newbies Sticky please - its there so we don't need to waste time on yet more Debt Collector threads.
  • Thanks for the reply, I did read that post but can’t seem to get references where a permission to park was already held. Seems very dodgy anyway - 2 letters from 2 companies at the same address yet seem to be based in 2 separate locations in the UK. As far as I was aware company letters had to give details in correspondence but there’s conflicting addresses and no company regards number etc! Daughter is in bits. I’m raging at the whole damn thing. Appeal process appears to be a flawed, destined to fail charade!
