Driving -- the true costs ITV

itv.com/tonight

If you missed this, it will be available on catch-up

There is a section on PRIVATE PARKING

The guy's car broke down in a private car park and
was towed out by the AA

The scammer Premier Parking issued a ticket.
Premier rejected the appeal
POPLA rejected the appeal

Does this not prove once again that the BPA membership
is crammed full of money scammers

Does this not prove that POPLA is now a complete
dinosaur ?

POPLA ... the BPA INVENTION is a serious joke with
no credibility ???

And there we have it, the BPA still stuck in the GOBI
desert, as described by an MP

On the contrary, the BPA is perfectly fit for purpose, its a private trade association, it main aim is to promote, and enable its members to make more money.
Codes of practice, and all the other stuff are nothing more than lipstick on a pig, giving the impression of respectability so the politicains will leave them alone, and the DVLA will keep the data tap flowing.
On the other side of the coin, private landowners and managers will continue to be sucked into the marketing bullshyte, and beleive they have a parking problem that can be solved by a camera mounted on a stick.

Going back in time, out of town shopping centres and their vast busy car parks functioned just fine without PPCs as did most other car parks, and where there was a problem it was solved with practical methods such as a validation token/ticket to get out of the car park.
Then the clampits, the BPA ANPR and all that arived and we find ourselves in the situation we are in today.
    From the Plain Language Commission:

"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"

And that sums up the BPA totally
