Sainsburys 29 months card - Bonus Points

I'm confused.

I've just received the above card and was under the impression that you had to spend £35 in store (or on-line) 10 times in 8 weeks to receive the 7500 points. As stated on MSE:

"Doing a big shop? You can split it into smaller £35 chunks to max the bonus, getting 750 points on each transaction. The offer works on in-store and online shops, but not fuel purchases."

So I went on to Sainsburys to check the T&C's and it states:

"Up to 7,500 bonus Nectar points in your first two months
Earn 750 bonus points each time you spend £35 or more on Sainsbury’s shopping with your credit card, up to ten times in your first 2 months, that’s 7,500 points. ††

Offer is available to new Sainsbury's Bank credit card customers. Remember to add your Nectar card number to your application. To get your points you'll need to stay within your credit limit and make the minimum payment on your account by the due date. Spend with Argos, Habitat, Sainsbury’s Energy, Sainsbury’s Bank (including travel money) Sainsbury's Petrol Stations (including non-fuel purchases) and any refunded transactions are excluded."

So am I right in thinking that the £35 can be spent on fuel to get the points?

Sorry, no. MSE is right the £35 can't be spent on fuel.

Ah right I get it now, Spend with Argos etc are excluded. I was reading it as spend with argos etc to get the points but refunded transactions were excluded.
