To include possible requirement when getting quotes from electricians?

Just bought a flat needs tenovation, we will be adding a lot more sockets as well as adding ring circuit for kitchen too.

We may convert a cupboard into a WC room, may have a walking wardrobe, both will need new lighting added but we won’t know if we can have it until kitchen and a wall removal have happened first.

Should I include those 2 requirements when asking for quotes now or tell them later (but before electrician start the work)?

Thanks.

Comments

  • Definitely include now but ask for a price with and without the extra work.

My experience is that added extras after the initial quote are often disproportionately costly.
