CCJ - Civil Enforcement LTD

This is quite a long story so apologies in advance...
Last year I sold a car for scrap and didn't inform the DVLA as they said they would (I already know this is very very wrong and it was my responsibility). The scrap dealer ended up leaving it on a public road while SORN and also in a private car park. Everything went to an old address as I moved shortly after selling the car. I also have zero proof of selling the car (again, I know, very silly).
I ended up with a Magistrates court fine as well as a CCJ for from Civil Enforcement LTD for £315. I paid the CCJ in full upon learning about it as I was afraid of any enforcement happening...this was about a month ago.
I have since read however that CEL are not allowed to assume it was the registered keeper who parked the car at the time and I'm now wondering if I can challenge the CCJ? I can prove I was in work at the time the car was parked. I totally understand if nothing can be done and have accepted that this was all just a massive mistake on my part but just thought I'd ask.
I've always been incredibly careful with my credit as well so it's very upsetting that such a mistake can ruin my file for 6 years.

Ha, thanks. I didn't think there was any hope. I can always look on the bright side, anything that required a decent credit rating was obtained just before this happened.0
