Flow Energy Problems

I switched from Flow Energy to Avro Energy with effect from 19th September 2018.
However I did not immediately cancel my direct debit to Flow Energy. They then took a payment of £66 on 25th September despite me no longer being their customer and with a credit balance on my account. When I spoke with Tyson at Flow Energy on the 25th he promised the £66 would be returned to my account in 48 hours and that I would get a final bill in 6 to 8 weeks!
I called again on the 2nd of October as the £66 had still not been refunded.
It is now the 17th of October and I am still waiting......

I am sorry the representative of the supplier has misled you.

The Direct debit collection will be included in a final bill, which should be produced within 6 weeks of the actual switch date (not the date you applied)
It is not uncommon to have a direct debit collection taken after you have switched supplier, but before they have produced a final bill, especially when that collection date is very close after the actual switch date.

That final bill should have a settlement date stated on it :)

Assuming you are in credit of course.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

No, all credits applied to the account since the previous bill/statement should be included in the final bill, irrespective of the account balance :)
