Minster Baywatch 2x parking fines - help

Hi, I have read through and understand the NEWBIE section, I received 2x parking tickets for the same car park in Sheffield, however I believed the letters to be fake an unenforceable (spelling mistakes, poor grammar and pixelated logos etc) and stupidly I binned them, along with the LBCCC, hence I have not acknowledged the LBCCC within the 14 day timeframe. I cannot seem to find any advice on what to do now other than just pay up (now £520 for both tickets!) And I would really rather avoid that! The only letter I have is from Gladstone's stating that they will pass my debt on to a recovery company if I don't pay up, however I would also like to avoid Bailiffs as I live with my elderly relatives and do not want to worry them. Any suggestions appreciated!

MB are mildly litigious, so this could go to a court case, but from what you've told us, you're not in that position yet.

The Gladstone letter tells me to pay MB 'our client'
I noticed at the bottom of the CCJ article it says 'do not ignore Northampton county court business centre letters' well i ignored believing them to be fake as the logo seemed iffy and I live nowhere near, also on Google there are lots of people asking the question 'is this real?' so I assumed it was a scam and binned the lot, it says I will get a CCJ by default and now I'm panicking as I am due to be buying a house in the coming month!0 -
Are you saying you ignored (binned) actual court claim(s) issued by the Northampton County Court Business Centre and you didn't defend the case(s) and you now have default judgment(s) against you?
Is there a date given to you by the court by when this money should be paid? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

What I received was a 'letter before county court claim' which I believed not to be real however judging by these forums it's now pretty likely it could be. I am pretty sure it was over 14 days ago now so even if I still had the letter I cant respond
feel very stupid now for ignoring it, but it simply did not seem real! I have no experience with this sort of thing, I'm 21 and haven't been driving that long, I was just living in the bubble of 'oh it's only a private one and I was only there 20 minutes on both occasions, they won't chase me' now it appears that they have, do I have any other option other than paying the £520 for this all to go away? I have a lot on with sorting a house out as it is but that's an obscene amount of money and I feel helpless right now

If it's a judgment in default, you normally have a month to pay it.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I don't think it was a judgement by default, I think it was more stating that action would be taken, is that possible or does that letter usually mean if it's not responded to in 14 days then there will definately be a judgement by default? And this then has a month to be paid? If that is the case then I should still be within the timeframe I hope! Can't believe I have been this stupid and that it's been blown out of proportion to this level! Will I have any other costs to pay other than the 2x £260 MB fines?0

You're asking us to guess this. Post up a link to a redacted copy of this latest letter. Read the instructions below for how to post links as a newbie carefully, to get this right first time.
