PCN Appeal rejected.... Advice please

Hi All,
To give a bit of background, I parked in a carpark for just over an hour. I have previously used paybyphone successfully in the same location. I used paybyPhone again to "Pay" however this time it said there was no charge. I thought nothing of it as it was after 6:30 and thought there may have been an exception. The proof of parking is still in my Paybyphone app as £0.00 and i also received an SMS saying my parking expires the next day at 8:00.
My Wife received the PCN as it was her car i was using. I then jumped on the CE-Services website, put in MY details as the driver and provided proof that i attempted to pay. I attached 2 screenshots, 1 of the paybyphone app which shows an entry at the correct time for the correct car reg at a Zero price, with an entry above it for the same parking location with a price, on a different date. I also sent them a screenshot of the SMS i received which showed a confirmation for the parking session on the date of the incident as well as confirmation of the previous session in the same car park. They then wrote back to me saying they need the number used. I then wrote back (by post) and gave it to them.
Today, i receive a letter saying my appeal is Unsuccessful as "they have no record of a payment" and i need to send any further appeals to POPLA. I'm unsure as to what more i can do to proove to POPLA that i attempted payment. Are the screenshots from my phone enough or should i get PayByPhone to supply me with something a bit more substantial??
It's not that i cant afford to pay this, but i hate people trying to make a mug out of me!!
