Easy access savings

Hi

I currently have an easy access savings account with Shawbrook at a rate of 1.2%. However I see they now do a 1.4% rate but I haven’t been upgraded.

Can I just ask them to upgrade my interest rate or do I have to apply as a new customer?

Thanks

Shawbrook doesn't usually increase the rate for existing accounts. It's a bit irritating but if you send it a request by secure message it will change your account to the latest issue keeping the same account number.
