29th May 2017 my wife went into labour with our daughter 8 weeks early due to sepsis. my wife and daughter both nearly died that morning & we spent the following 6 weeks living in hospital. My feet haven't hit the ground since - my daughter inherited a lot of health problems from the traumatic birth & the septicaemia & fungal meningitis that followed. we are currently battling seizures that started just before xmas. My reason for this post is that during those 6 weeks of my wife & daughter being in hospital i received a ticket from UK car park management ltd claiming an overstay of 4 hrs 27 minutes on 19/6/2017. They are claiming i entered the car park at 15.53 & left at 22.21 totalling 6 hrs 27 minutes. What actually happened was I used the car park twice. From 15.53 for no more than 30 minutes before returning to the hospital. At around 9.30pm that night me and my wife left our daughter in the hospital to go home for rest. On the way home i entered the car park around 22.00 to buy my wife a tub of ice cream to cheer her up! The cameras obviously didn't take the first exit & second entry pictures. I sent a letter on 10/7/2017 explaining this and refusing to pay. I heard nothing for 2 months when the DRP threats started coming. I called them & told them to back off or take me to court. They can't possibly prove it happened because it didn't. The threats kept coming. I then had an appeal refused by the IAS. I then heard nothing until 27th September 2018 when i received this letter before claim from gladstones. I desperately need someones help. Life is extremely hard - my daughter is total 24/7 care and I don't have the mental capacity to process all this information fast enough to defend myself. Nor do I have the £160 they are demanding. If someone can find it in the goodness of their heart to help me fight this I would be so grateful. Its adding massively to our existing stress and is making me ill with worry on top of everything else. Any other information needed please ask.
I thank you in advance and appreciate posts like this are frowned upon but I'm trying to control my daughters seizures and save her life and I just don't have the time or mental capacity to deal with this on my own.

Have you asked PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) at the hospital to fix this?0
-
the hospital are as much use as an ash tray on a motorbike0
-
my mum works at the hospital so I had a staff car park pass - no proof my car was there other than my word for it0

Did you point out to them The NHS patient, visitor and staff car parking principles?
Particularly this:Contracted-out car parking
NHS organisations are responsible for the actions of private contractors who run car parks on their behalf.0 -
sorry, i should have made myself clearer. the ticket was issued from a car park near home - not the hospital car park0
-
the car park the ticket was from is a stones throw from my house and serves a pub (land owner) plus a coop store and a chip shop. I use this car park several times a day and have done for 8 years - i didn't even know there were restrictions in place0

i do apologise keith p, I'm running on auto pilot right now. ill put more thought into my replies from now on0
