You can have a sole regular saver each or a joint regular saver.
You can't have both a sole and a joint regular saver.
Or are you really asking whether you can open a Flexdirect joint current account and have the 5% on £2,500 again?0 -

I have just opened a flexdirect, received card + pin, and i just need t set up internet banking now.
When does the interest " clock" start ticking ?
Does the year ( for 5% interest ) start on the day that account is opened, or from the day that i transfer money into it ?

Nationwide Flex Direct is fabulous way of getting 5% on upto £2500 in the current account and with the regular saver upto £250 per month instant access. Lots of regular savers are not instant access so Nationwide one is absolutely the best in my opinion.
You are quite right OP the minimal effort of transferring £1000 into and out of the account if you;ve got £2500 there already far outweighs the benefits.
The current account interest rate is only for a year though and watch standing orders when they fall on a weekend as you may go overdrawn and incur charges. If you want to be rich, never, ever have kids

Given the enthusiastic tone of the rest of your post I think you have this the wrong way round, unless you really do believe that the effort outweighs the benefits! For most on here who are using these accounts they'd consider that the benefits outweigh the effort....nomorekids wrote: »You are quite right OP the minimal effort of transferring £1000 into and out of the account if you;ve got £2500 there already far outweighs the benefits.0
