Next steps

Evening everyone,

I recently got a PCN at the Sheffield G Casino (used as nearest public car park to my client) where apparently the only bays you can park in are the ones around the edge of the car park, not in the middle.

I was in a rush and didn't even see a sign informing me of these rules. The bays are not marked themselves but I am told there are a number of signs (albeit I didn't see one) informing of these rules.

Someone on this forum around 2 year ago got a ticket at the same car park and wrote to the casino who sorted it all out for them. I followed this same approach, but unfortunately they wouldn't help me and directed me straight back to Minster Baywatch.

I thought I'd try a quick appeal to them, but I'm assuming they just automatically rejected it as it came back that quick.

I have about another 10 days at the rate of £60 before they bump it up to £100. Just wondering what else I can do or should I just cough up?

I obviously didn't intentionally park in the restricted bays and paid for the parking. And obviously these cowboys will keep pressing for their cash....

Any suggestions anyone? Does anyone know any rules around the bays not being marked that I could use against them?

Cheers guys

Matt

You just appeal to POPLA (MB should have given you a POPLA Code to use in their rejection letter) and try to get it killed there.

You need to read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #3 about how to construct a POPLA appeal.

A completely unregulated industry. You're wasting your time looking for such escape routes.

Read the sticky - I'd start with post #1 so you understand the game in which you are now entrapped before you move to post #3 and your POPLA appeal.

MB can be litigious, so if you don't win at POPLA, you might have to try to do so in court.
