Urgent Travel Insurance help please!

OK, I am trying to find decent travel insurance to Vietnam. Travelling short notice due to an emergency.

The ones that I come across that cover Vietnam, don't offer baggage cover or have really high excesses! And those that have the right cover, do not include Vietnam! I am not to up on insurance but i know that it works out much cheaper to buy annual worlwide. Because of the short notice, I haven't had enough time to look everything up! Will be booking the flights for tomorrow night, and I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here please.

The problem is, OH is already there and his travel agent never processed the application for his travel insurance! Can he still be added to it when I buy it later? 2 adults and 1 child and 1 infant?

Thanks in advance. Have appointments for jabs in a couple of hours:eek:

ps. the kids and I are going for about 2 weeks, not sure how long OH will be there, but he has a 3 month open ticket and left on the 24th May.
I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....

How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!

I thunk I've made you think for a minute!

Could you get annual travel insurance? Most standard annual insurance places will should cover Vietnam as standard.

I just tried a quick quote for 2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant for 2 weeks with baggage cover to Vietnam and it came out at £39.50 for 2 weeks, £50 excess. Didn't sound too bad.

However I don't think you can get insurance for people who are already out of the country, though worth phoning up to check.

By the way make sure your home contents policy doesn't already cover you for baggage abroad. Some do.

came up to just over £23 when i searched with the world exc USA & canada option (couldn't see Vietnam listed!)! And your right, i have rung around and the OH will not be covered for this trip, but he would be covered for other trips if we took out annual policy. Anyway, we already have european annual cover and after the cost of this trip, i don't intend to travel for a while lol.

think i will go for this one, as soon as they get back to me, they don't have a phone contact and i can't print anything up right now, printer cable has gone walkabouts:o

you guys are great and have saved me masses of stress.... Big Thanks to you all!
