Smart parking fine

Hi,
Over the summer I received a parking fine for paying an insufficient amount at Camber sands. I was back in the car when the parking time expired but stopped by the shop for my boyfriend to jump out and grab an ice cream (which was 5 mins max). I then received a notice from smart parking to say I hadn't paid for the parking. I sent a copy of the receipt to show that I had paid, but have now received a debt collectors letter saying I paid for insufficient time, and now they are fining me £160 instead of £100. Please can someone advise me what I can do. Thank you

This is a council owned car park. Check with the council if there is a Parking Place Order (PPO) on it - or if there ever was a PPO on it.
At the same time there is a template appeal in the Newbies thread (Blue one) that you can use. Others will be along to helpThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
At a guess, the drivers identity was revealed?
Simply answer YES or NO
If NO Then edit your first post. WE must now know who drove. THe person who drove / parked / etc was THE DRIVER0
