can anyone reccommend a company to use with claiming PPI

Hi all,

Ive tried to make a claim myself in regards to PPI to my bank Lloyds but they wrote back to me indicating that the amount i was owed back was 27p and they sent a cheque for this.

I just wondered if there were any companys that would help with a PPI claim that has a low percentage fee of the compensation?

Thanks

  • No. They all sell stamps for an eye watering price.

You can buy them cheaper at the Post Office.

You've already had your refund and, unless you can somehow show that you paid more than was refunded (with documentation from your own archive) your complaint is now concluded.

Attempt to employ a Claims Company without telling them you've already complained and you will receive a bill from them for wasting their time.

Understand that, if you had employed a Claims Company in the first place, you would still have been refunded 27p, but you'd have to pay 20% of that (plus VAT) to the company!
  • I only made a cliam against Lloyds, there are other companies too that i have to make a claim against.

    any recommendations would be appreciated

You won't find anyone on this board recommending you potentially pay a quarter of the resulting redress to an ambulance chaser when doing it yourself is just as quick and easy and free of charge.

It's pre regulation so it doesn't matter.

What's the next one on your list?

For brokers, such as Reg Vardy, 2005 is the earliest. Before that, they don't need to consider it.
  • I had a silver platinum account with Lloyds paying ten pounds a month over several years. Ive heard you can now claim back but what is the criteria? is it just for mis sold?

Also a complaint, not a claim. Explain why you feel you were miss-sold this package e.g. if benefits wouldn't help you

Do note that they may be able to time bar this depending how long you have had the account as they have been sending out annual letters for a while listing the charges and benefits which is sufficient to trigger the 3 year rule, if it's less than 6 years since you opened it then it won't be.
