Cost-effective platforms for SIPP and ISA S&S holdings

I'd like to move my SIPP and ISA away from AJ Bell/YouInvest to escape their excessive custody charges (I'm invested in a wide range of funds, some of which are not widely available). I'm looking for a new provider/platform which offers a comprehensive range of funds and competitive charges (maangement, custody and SIPP drawdown). Does anyone have any recommendations?

I remember someone on here maintaining a spreadsheet a few years ago that compared the fees on the main platforms. Does this still exist?

Have you tried the link above? Only covers 18 providers though.

Here you go. What is best for you will depend upon what you old (funds, shares etc), how much you hold and how much you trade

Edit: Do check that a new provider has what you want regarding 'wide range of funds, some of which are not widely available'. You wouldn't be the first to get caught out

It depends on your amounts, number of trades etc. snowman's spreadsheet is the best.

I have kept my ISA with CSD, although they have increased their charges, I do only have a small amount with them. I moved my SIPP to ii.

You have to bear in mind that if you move from one provider that has increased its prices to another that hasn't, that a few months down the line you may be looking to move again. The process is not without its downsides buy all accounts particularly if you have a wide range of holdings.

Ultimately they have all got to make money - loss leaders can only be tolerated for so long. I'm not sure what a fair price for the service is but it may be closer to AJ Bells new charges than their old ones. I have an account with iWeb but I'm not sure how it works out for them and I wouldn't be at all surprised if charges increase.

Thanks for all the feedback - really useful. Good to see that the spreadsheet is still being maintained. too.
iWeb looks like a good option, and I believe that their charges have been much lower than the likes of AJ Bell and HL for many years now, so hopefully they will remain that way.
I'll start crunching the numbers and seeing how many of my funds are available at iWeb...

Hmmm....yes I've just discovered that - 12 out of my 51 chosen investments aren't avaiable on iWeb (representing about 30% of the value of my portfolio).

Any tips for which of the lower-cost platforms have the widest choice of funds?

Charles Stanley were cheaper than HL and still had good service and range of funds but I don't know the others sorry.

For a large sum a fixed priced platform such as Alliance Trust Savings might be better, they have a wide choice of funds. I would assume that with 51 investments, we're talking about a large sum, if not, you may want to rethink your investment strategy (although 51 investments sounds like too much to me even for a large sum).

51 is a ridiculously large number of funds. There will be a huge amount of crossover.

Unless we're talking £1mil+ here, I can't see how it's worthwhile or how you keep track.
