But even the most basic websites these days will have a Captcha system that prevents brute force attacks to guess my password.
We're talking offline attacks here, i.e. if the database is stolen. CAPTCHAS only mitigate against online attacks. So in reality how long it takes to brute force is only relevant if the website has already been compromised.
Correct. So the risk is quite low unless your an individual that is likely to be targeted.
The risk likely is low if you are using half decent passwords and not re-using them for everything.0 -
ooo - that's me sold then
1Password is audited regularly by a third party, so it's about as good as you can hope for. Remember we are contrasting this with people who implement their own security policies.0 -

I implment my own security policies that dont include trusting my list of passwords to anybody or any software solution - I shudder at the thought of a "password manager"
Why anyone would want to add extra layers of insecurity by using one of these is beyond me0 -
Not sure why people are making something so easy look so difficult....Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I had a similar email a couple of months back, apparently the guy had been following me around for a week and had images and info of what I'd been up to which he would share with my family and friends and post on social media if I didn't pay $1000 in bit coins in to his account, I put it straight in the spam file. I guess, if they throw enough balls they will eventually get a coconut.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0
