Worth focussing on used Kias with remaining warranty?

I've set my sights on a used Kia, having driven quite a few in recent years and generally liking what the brand offers - although I know they're far from premium or sporty.
The question is, I've seen a few models below my second hand budget but they're a year out of warranty or have exceeded the 100,000 mileage.
Do you reckon it's worth holding out until I find a used Kia I like that has at least a year or say around 10,000 miles of its 7-year warranty remaining, or do Kia have the habit of wriggling out of claims, and is the fact the sat nav and audio system aren't covered beyond 3 years indicative of a warranty that is in actuality no better than an 'aftermarket' one that might even cover sat nav, etcetera?
Thanks!

Bear in mind that the warranty won't cover wear and tear on items, at 7 years and approaching 100k there will be plenty of worn bits!
I would suspect that you will find a greater proportion of Kia cars will have full service history so as to preserve the warranty, you may also find more one owner from new cars. Both these can be a good thing and would sway me more than a few months of remaining warranty.0 -
If your budget only allows you to look at cars that are >7 years old or have done >100K miles then I'm not sure that any warranty is going to be worth having in the first place. Better to buy a car in your price range on condition and have some reserves of cash to pay for anything that does need to be fixed.0
