Is it possible to setup a Standing Order (Nationwide) before my bank card arrives? I forgot to update my ID when i moved, so there was a delay in setting up my account. As a result I won't have a bank card before my rent is due.

For Nationwide, you need your debit card, and a card reader, as well as your online credentials before you can set up a new payee or a new standing order yourself.
They may be able to set up your payment in Branch, or over the phone.0 -
For Nationwide, you need access to your physical card to use the card reader to authorise the new standing orders via internet banking. You might be able to set it up over the counter at a branch, with sufficient ID instead though - I'd suggest getting in touch sooner rather than later.0

Nationwide's telephone banking is very limited and they don't let you make payments over the phone. There's an automated phone system for paying bills, but that needs you to have set up the payment details online, or in branch, first. Anyway, they're removing that facility altogether.
Nationwide have never let you set up new bill payments over the phone, or pay any bills, new or existing, by speaking to a human being on the phone.
