NOISA - IVA Advice

completed my IVA in 2017 but have just received a letter from MBNA today stating they did not issue me with a NOSIA way back in 2009.

They said I am owed a refund of over £2k but I am wondering whether my appointed representative is actually entitled to this?

I have an email from who I did my IVA with confirming it was closed successfully but that “however in accordance with this ruling PPI funds will continue to be due into your IVA post completion.”

Is a NOSIA the same as PPI and therefore mean I am not entitled? Or would this be worth me chasing up?

Letter states “if you’re no longer insolvent please provide evidence that your appointed representative has no interest in any refunds owed to you.”

Not sure I would be able to provide such evidence? All help greatly appreciated here as I’ve no
Idea.

Thanks

Ring up IVA people and see what they say, no-one can say for sure whether you are entitled to the money

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
