If you know you owe the debts, then why are you wasting your time and their time writing Prove-It letters and such?
Are you hoping to make more time lapse on the owed debts?
I don't see the outcome you're looking for by asking for them to prove it's yours when you already know it is?
If you want to make settlements then just contact them and make a settlement offer - or better yet just pay back what you owe knowing full well you do indeed owe it.
Stating that you want to pay as little as possible or none at all is not really the way to look at things - pay what you owe and learn from your mistakes.0 -
Thanks for your input. I hear what your saying but drafting up a 'copy and paste' letter takes a few minutes of my time and so far this has saved me £230 and a default off my credit file. Well worth it in my eyes.
If it boils down to it and i do need to pay up, then i shall.0 -
Just pay up, learn, and move on.
I don’t get why people offer immoral advice on here on how to debt-dodge.
If you owe it pay it!0 -

Your may want to take your own advice when writing unsupportive replies. The sites called 'money saving expert' and thats exactly what im doing/trying to do - take your moral high ground elsewhere.
Have a good evening, sir0 -

Nowhere on the site does Martin advise lying to try and get out of debt you owe.0 -
