IVA advice re NOSIA
Hi.
I completed my IVA in 2017 but have just received a letter from MBNA today stating they did not issue me with a NOSIA way back in 2009.
They said I am owed a refund of over £2k but I am wondering whether my appointed representative is actually entitled to this?
I have an email from who I did my IVA with confirming it was closed successfully but that “however in accordance with this ruling PPI funds will continue to be due into your IVA post completion.”
Is a NOSIA the same as PPI and therefore mean I am not entitled? Or would this be worth me chasing up?
Letter states “if you’re no longer insolvent please provide evidence that your appointed representative has no interest in any refunds owed to you.”
Not sure I would be able to provide such evidence? All help greatly appreciated as this would be a nice touch as I’m brassic

It falls under the same remit as PPI claims as it's for debt that was included in the IVA and the refund would be taken from the balance of the debt if the IVA had not taken place.
Your IP has a right to know about the refund and as MBNA know you were in an IVA they would need a letter from your IP saying they have no interest in it before you could claim it.0
