Hello,
I placed an order from a Japanese online site a month ago, this was a pre-order for an item due out late December. The date of release has slipped to late January and I would like to cancel. This is an expensive item (90000jpy+) over £640 but they claim I must pay a 10% cancellation fee. I is indeed in their terms&conditions, is that any consumer law I can use to get out of this, 10% is alot of money for me.
Thank you.

Unfortunately my Japanese is ropey, so I cannot read the consumer laws you are bound by.0 -
You'll likely be bound by Japanese consumer law and I'm not sure if their law allows for cancellation fees or not.0

There is a consumers union in Japan that gives advice. It's called:
日本消費者連盟 You could try ringing them and asking.0 -
Thank you, seems tricky I have requested they cancel and I take the hit.https://www.cosycaravan.com find, book & advertise private caravans made easy.0
