Joint Credit Cards?

It does seem like your partner may have opened these cards in your name as it has her contact details etc.
I would guess that possibly they have added themself as an additional card holder.
Personally, I would not be happy at all if this is the case.
Good luck with your hpnest conversation.0 -
Had confirmation from Experian that the default on my credit report relates to Argos credit card, administered by Home Retail.
I am aware my partner had an Argos card, does not appear to have been used for a long time. I have tried to ring them up but they confirm I am not a customer - card seems to be in her name with her details so not too sure why the default is on my report. Maybe I'm an additional cardholder hence why it affects me too?0 -

Additional Card Holders are exactly that - any account defaults etc. will get added to the main account holders credit file0 -
Are you and your partner married (i.e. have the same surname) and share the same initial letter of your first name?
Going by what you've said about Argos it sounds as though these are actually his/her cards but are being assigned to you by mistake.0 -
Just had an update from Argos - they have confirmed the account, card, and credit checks were carried out in my name using my details, including my employment information.
There is over £1,000 worth of arrears which have been passed on to Fredrickson - I have never heard of them and never had any contact so I'm assuming any letters are being intercepted or emails are being sent to the incorrect address.
Capital One have emailed me confirming impersonation of my details too.

Sounds like she tried to stop you from finding out as she said just use mine.
She likely used your information as she doesn’t work. She wouldn’t get a card because she doesn’t work. She doesn’t work and she is sponging from you.
I would ditch her. Imagine how far it could have gone. You could have got a ccj due to defaults and then not appear in court as she could have intercepted the court letter. Then bailiffs coming to your home because the ccj hasn’t been paid.Mortgage free wannabe
Actual mortgage stating amount £75,150
Overpayment paused to pay off cc
Starting balance £66,565.45
Current balance £58,108

UPDATE:
Arrears passed to Frederickson in January 2018 with balance of £1008.
One payment of £25.00 made in February 2018 but nothing since.
Frederickson say the arrears have been passed back to the client (i.e. Argos)
Does anyone know what the next stage is?0 -
Who made the £25 payment?0

They'll be looking to get their money back from the person who committed fraud against them.0 -
My partner's email address and telephone number were set up on the account - therefore she must have made a payment and any future contact (Frederickson said they have been calling and texting) has been ignored.0
