Can you prefix your dial up internet number with 18866 and use it for internet access, my daughter is on dial up and it's extremely slow in her area, resulting in heavy BT charges.

It is possible if you can find a geographical number for your ISP. If you use your 0845 number via 18866 it will in fact be more expensive via 18866 than BT.0

If you use the excellent site SayNoTo0870.com's search facility and search for 'ISP', then your ISP maybe listed along with a geographical (numbers starting 01 or 02) number!0
