  • Sofa hoover with upholstery attachment (borrow a hoover with this if you have to), use a stiff brush to help if you have to.., PC, establish repair costs.

I'm afraid 3D tv's are fairly outdated now, and it was 8 years old. I found this on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Panasonic-TX-P42GT20B-42-Plasma-3D-TV-Freeview-Freesat-with-Stand-Remote/283210646638?hash=item41f0ab846e:g:sjEAAOSwhnhbwfsS:rk:39:pf:0 so its probably not worth a lot.

Unless you notified your LL in writing that the ceiling was in danger of falling in, I am not sure he will be found culperable for damage. Its your choice but it could well be cheaper and far less hassle to replace the TV, repair the pc, clean the sofa and forget about court. Say you win, then you have to actually get the money from the LL and will probably be evicted. So have to find another place which will cost a new deposit while waiting for refund of old deposit, admin fees etc.

Its your choice. Like with contents insurance, you don't have it, you aren't covered, you do pay it, you could be paying for decades and never have anything happen. Its the risk you take.
