Why not start with Checkatrade, You will need to use Intergas website to find their installer in order to get full warranty though.

    Good Luck.

Checkatrade is now wholly owed by Homeserve & their business model has upset an awful lot of decent trades to the point that many of them have left it so you take your chances now.

Intergas warranties have changed & a listed installer doesn't get any longer warranty than anyone else (but it's still a much better boiler than Worcester)
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

The likes of Checkatrade need to be shut down really. They say they vet trader applicants, check their work and spring surprise visits on them etc but they must just take their money and not bother.

Due to a lack of time to get it completed myself, I let my gf hire in a bathroom fitter to finish off the job. In retrospect I should have quizzed him before I started, but because she told me he had good reviews & he was boasting about having 18 years experience etc...I just let him crack on with it. Mistake I've never made again. After the shower tripped I looked at what he'd done more closely and it was even worse then his tiling skills had first suggested.

His tiling was awful, he used (without permission) and ruined a brand new Dyson vac to tidy up, replaced the shower cable like for like (it needed to go up to 10mm really), didn't uprate the mcb and then left the neutral loose in the pull cord switch for arcing fun. I ended up taking most of the money back off him and telling him to do something else for a living.

He was proper cheeky and suggested that I'd tampered with the shower to claim the refund. Because I have nothing better to do then make his wiring dodgy and burn my house down...Killing the dog in the process. I was stunned to the point of being furious with him. 18 years of fitting bathrooms and if he's been doing them to this standard - I'd want a list of his previous clients so that I know which houses to avoid buying!
