If VCS filed the claim themselves, then there will be no solicitor involvement.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi, Ok, will scan the form at the office this week and email it.

    Will post to the claimant.
  • Hi, I've had few messages regarding the outcome of my court case regarding my parking ticket at Doncaster Airport so thought it best to update my thread.

The reason I hadn't updated was because I was basically in a 'huff' as I went to court and (quick version) I lost.

I was commended by the judge for putting up a good fight/case forward but ultimately he looked at the photos/footage and saw the no stopping signs (Highway Code) and he said I had time to read the signs about being fined and the small print etc. I argued that the contact number was printed really small but he wasn’t having any of it sadly.

I then ended up paying £150.... brilliant.

Now, whilst the advice I received on here was great and the judge was impressed by my documents I ultimately lost. The solicitor used by the parking company had read my documents and could see I'd been on these forums - so, yes, they do look on here (I didn't even mention I'd used these forums).

I think in the future I’d just bite the bullet and pay the fine. It stressed me out and all the stress wasn’t worth it for me in the end.

You might have better luck and a have more lenient judge but the one I had sided with VCS.

    Thanks
