Dyson DC14 All Floors - £147.67 + £50 Comet Gift Card

I've tried this at the weekend at got the product and everything worked fine! This retails for £259 on the Dyson direct website.

Step 1
Comet are offering £50 cashback in the form of a gift card on any Dyson bought until the 6th December if you reserve online and collect from store. We ordered ours and the price was £209. Go through quidco to give you £7.32 cashback. This tracked fine. We went to the store to collect the Dyson and the £50 gift card.

Step 2
Currys are currently offering this Dyson for £159 which is much lower than any other store on the internet. Comet have a policy that if you can find the product in a store within 10 mile radius for cheaper and that it is in stock, they will refund the difference and 10%. Check policy here.
Check that they have the product in stock and take a print out to take to store. The product is listed here.

Step 3
Take the confirmation of the product in stock to your local Comet and they will redund £55 to your card/refund in cash. The lady explained to me at the counter that as their terms and conditions state, they cannot take the Dyson gift card off me as it's a different promotion and not effecting the core price.

Therefore, after all discounts, you will have the product for £147.67 plus a £50 gift card to spend in Comet

Wow thats good. When do you show your print out? Do you go home and then go back or do it as soon as you have paid?

The only thing that puts me off is that it says on their terms and conditions that it is instore prices only. Are these prices the same instore as online?

EDIT: also finding 'Sorry - Collect from store is currently unavailable' regardless of postcode entered (This is not just for Dyson products though)

The price for the DC14 All Floors is £159 in all Currys stores. Check that there is a local Currys near your store with stock - most of them will have loads as it's on promotion

Think the site may well have crashed (technical problems when doing instore pick up option) or more likely they have pulled the plug until the gift card promo has expired... call me a cynic!! :rolleyes:

but no mention of the £50 cash back on the comet site

Well i have ordered one ready to collect today. But i haven't paid. So, when i go to collect and pay, do i then say well Currys have it cheaper? Or go back a bit later

I reckon the best thing to do is reserve one at your local Currys (same as Comet, you don't pay until you collect), then take the print out to Comet when you pick it up and say you have found it cheaper at the local Currys, have a look at this (hand print out of your reservation to shocked Comet staff! )
