New kitchen, tiling and plug sockets.

So we are about to order our new kitchen.
We have had a rewire done of the whole house with just the scoclet locations left to go in the kitchen. But how do we know exactly where to position the sockets so the fit in with the tiling. We want the sockets positioned the tiling fots in around them, rather than sitting inbetween to rows if you see what I mean? Is it just a case of getting the unit height adding the worktop height and then measuring the tiles out from there? This seems very easy to get wrong?!

Who is doing the tiling? Because if it's not you then it gets rather complicated.0

You could try your best to locate sockets to fit with tiles. It is seems very unlikely (i.e. impossible) to avoid cutting.
I would suggest you make sure your sockets are level at the same height. Then cut tiles so the grout line aligns either top or bottom of the box. I find aligning to the top is more pleasing to they eye."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

We have a tiler in atm. He took the centre point of the wall and worked outwards then started with a full tile above the worktop. He did measure a couple of rows to see how they panned out, to make sure there were no slivers at the edges.
Do you know which tiles and how you want them laid?0 -

Ahh yes I think this is what Im thinking of, aligning them with the top.
Im looking at probably having 3 or 4 high around the back of the worktops.0 -
Personally I'd rather not have the top or bottom of the sockets on a grout line. If you try to line them up & you're a tad out it will look awful. Don't try to line them up & you've got a lot of leeway before you'd notice anything.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0
