Advice on Deceased Husbands PPI payments please

My Husband has sadly passed away over a year ago after being ill for a long time. He had debts that have been written off by the creditors which I knew nothing about. I have found paperwork which shows he paid PPI on at least one loan or credit card. Would I be able to claim the PPI and would I have to pay it to the creditor? I'd be grateful of any advice please.

You'd need to prove to them you're capable fo complaining on his behalf, they will ask for the proof they need.
You can only stick with factual reasons for complaint not hearsay ones e.g. he was told he had to have it
If h owed any money through defaults, interest added or amounts written off, and redress will go towards that first.
If you are thinking about using a company, don't.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

However, as you say, any redress awarded would first be offset against the unpaid debt which has already been written off.
So, unless the PPI redress is likely to be considerably more than your husband owed to that particular lender, it might not be worth the effort.0 -

Ok Mr Pedantic.
Op, they will ask you to prove you are legally capable of complaining on his behalf.
