natwest servicecard 250

Options
my debit card with natwest is due to expire, they wrote to me today saying they will upgrade my card to a servicecard 250 from servicecard 100.

are there any benfits to this ? other than the £250 cheque guarantee which i will never use?

what colour is this card?

Comments

  • The colour is yellow so i suppose the colour is brighter!! Seriously the cheque guarantee limit should be the benefit alone.

Not if you use cheques between £100 & £250 where you would need a guarantee card! Failing that it at least means they think you're pretty credit-worthy....only get given out to 'good' customers.
  • I can't speak for others, obviously, but as far as I'm concerned, the cheque guarantee function is redundant. Can't remember the last time I used it.
  • well said rail.link. If anyone works for natwest they can feed this back to say they can increase their cash withdrawl limit to £500 or £750 for valued customers or maybe free CHAPS payments. As it stands they may as well send me the servicecard 100 makes no difference to me

I have one of these cards and its like a yellow / gold colour

I am not best pleased with Nat West at the moment. Thried to get into internet banking today (which i do a few tomes a week) and it would not let me. Told me to re register so I have to wait again for the activation code. Very inconvenient as I pay most of mu bills via internet banking. Their internet banking no-help-at-all-line didnt know either

Are they only offered when the old card expires or can you apply for one? Does anyone know the criteria for getting one?
  • It is based on income, on disposable income and to be honest we are talking about a switch card with a different colour.

Hi, I have a natwest service card 100, and in the past 6 months have been in credit to the tune of £5k+ on times, and have just been accepted for a gold credit card, what are my chances of getting my service card upgraded to the gold one ( id ont use cheques but the gold one looks better!!!)
    Thanks
