Car Finance company search

I bought a car in 2002 on finance I’m nearly sure I had ppi and definitely paid them an early repayment fee. I shredded all paperwork after a test of paying it if and now I can’t remember who the finance company were does anyone know if there is a way to find out ?

It doesn't matter who the finance company was.

You complain to the car dealership, the finance company have no liability for the sale unless it was their staff member in the showroom. They will then dismiss it, if they are even still operating, as it's 3 years before regulation and thus your complaint is over
