Delay before receiving Parking Charge Notice

Hi, I parked at a car park attached to Premier Inn, Bath Road, Heathrow on July 8th 2018. I was given some incorrect info by the receptionist on check in which led me to think I had complimentary car parking for the night. However, after a short rest, perhaps 1 I moved the car to the parking garage next door to the hotel which I had already paid for the duration of my holiday. Since i thought I qualified for complementary parking I left the car park without paying.

Then, last week, more than 84 DAYS later I received a Parking Charge Notice for £145.00 from a company called DRP acting for LOCAL PARKING SECURITY Ltd, who manage the car park at the hotel. Must the parking charge notice be issued within a certain time after the date of the parking charge?

Edit your post before you do anything else to remove information about who parked. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.

Debt collectors can be ignored. Post 4 of the NEWBIES tells you why it is safe to do so.

Are you sure you never received a NTK direct from the PPC? If not, then treat it as the NTK and appeal to the PPC using the template from the NEWBIES. Add a one liner that since this is the first you have heard about it, you are quite rightly assuming this is the NTK which is to late to transfer liability to the keeper.
Do not reveal the driver's identity.

Please complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.

If they argue that they have already served you with a NtK, send a complaint to Steve Clark of the BPA. Check other LPS threads to see if there is a pattern of going straight to debt collectors rather than serving any NtK, and use that evidence to back up your complaint.
