That looks like a cross between a defence and a Witness Statement. A skeleton argument, which is not compulsory, should be more like a crib sheet for you to follow so you don't get lost whilst presenting your defence, should you be given the chance or be directed to by the judge. Check out skeleton argument in the NEWBIE thread post # 2.

Fair challenge. I've read all of them from the Newbie thread including the mega one from Loadsofchildren123 and clearly got carried away. That one aside though, most of the other SA's I've seen have been pretty lengthy and mine is just over 5 pages of A4 with decent sized font, which I didn't think was too bad?

My thinking was I need to call out all the key points I want to cover from my original defence/WS + anything worth challenging from the Claimant's WS (there is plenty!) with enough detail that I hopefully won't need to speak much during the hearing. I was then planning to have a list of just bullet points to hand on the day (plus obviously all the relevant docs in a folder ready to pull out if needed).

I think a skeleton should be shorter but if it helps you to use a longer one as a crib sheet and you are sure that will help organise your thoughts, then use it!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I agree, wasn't trying to put you off having a SA but if it is five pages of A4, are you going to be able to quickly find points you wish to use in your arguments? Like your idea of bullet points though.
