Hello, we have a large through lounge-diner that we want to get a hard floor for. Can anyone recommend?
-We have a lot of pine furniture so were thinking not wood coloured or it may clash
-I like the look of white painted floorboards, any white laminates people have? Other non wood ideas?
-We don’t want tiles. Our kitchen/hall/WC. Have white LVT tiles which I like the look of, though do scratch (need recoated) and being white means you get small “black line” gap inbetween the tiles. I wonder if click LVT plants would avoid this. Or laminate.
-it will have lots of footfall and train track, cards, toys so needs to be hard wearing.
Thanks for ideas!

I’ve been god the Quick-Step impressive white marks easily. I’m interested to hear of others ideas for a pale laminate plank.0

Get a couple of samples of these and other whites, you'll see something you like.
I've just put the Isabelline in hallway and living areas, as it has a light cream sheen in the grain (hard to describe), but would be ok with your furniture.
The brilliant white is my favourite for something slightly different, as it has a silver tint to it, when lights or sunlight catches it. I've used it before and was difficult to find again as it was called Swiss Chrome before and will still be marked as such on the packs, just to confuse things! This has gone in the bedrooms.
Everywhere is MUCH lighter now.
You'll find the same products at other suppliers, but with their own name on the website, but will be delivered as a Swiss Krono product. Google the name and you'll see it is not a low grade product.
Use this underlay, as it is easier to handle than the wood fibre stuff and if you haven't got a Homebase, tr Screwfix for a couple of ££ more expensive.

I painted the boards in our dining room with white eggshell (oil based) about 15 years ago and they have stood up extremely well.
The floor does show marks and dirt but it's also extremely easy to clean.0 -
Yes I tried the edit button, it wouldn’t open on my phone for some reason.
Thanks for the information, that’s really helpful0
