Some building regulations etc are aimed at preserving life, so are clearly more important, other regulations are relating to energy efficiency and therefore less important as they're not life threatening. I'm sure potential buyers, council enforcers etc are more interested in the former rather than the latter.

    Inadequate foundations leading to structural faults is the first thing. Conservatories are cheap for a reason.

    No one should be paying for a conservatory with a lightweight roof as if it is an extension. It is not. It does not have any of the quality or the lifespan of an extension.
    Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

    Although there is nothing preventing someone from having proper foundations, cavity walls and an insulated floor.


    Just don't get a conservatory company to do them.



    I was glad we built the important bits. The conservatory company still had trouble with the parts they are used to screwing together.
