Sincere and most humble apologies to everyone, badger 09 is absolutely spot on. Having checked the documents, my father neglected to date his will. It was signed and as an affidavit was provided, probate was granted.

Clearly with my advancing years, my memory is failing me. I will need to check first before I post.

Again can only say very, very sorry.
