Price lowered after purchase. Advice

Hi all,
I purchased an Adidas exercise bike from sports direct online store. The bike wasn't available to order straight away but I could pre-order the bike for when it was available on the 5th October. They processed the payment last week but the money was pending for a week then it dropped off. On the 6th they reprocessed my payment which went out straight away. For some reason I went online to have a look at the bike, and to my horror I see they had dropped the price from £399 to £249. I emailed them asking why they were allowing preorders for the fall price but then dropping the price as soon as it becomes available. Their reply was that they had made a mistake and the bike shouldn't had been discounted. I've gone online to check if they corrected the price, but the bike is still at £249. The bike has still not been delivered. Can I refuse delivery and request a refund? I can't believe how unprofessional this company is.
I would appreciate some words or wisdom.

Order for £249, return the £399 bike - easy0

Just cancel the order and re order at the lower price.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

It is super cliche, but if the price had gone up would you be offering to pay the extra difference?0

ooh it took 5 posts for someone to wheel out that old chestnut. Must be a new record.
The clue is in the name of the site, it's about money saving and why shouldn't OP try and do just that if they can.0 -
I disagree with previous posts, if you order at the new price I believe your order will be cancelled as they have already told you that it is an error. Either return the bike and take your refund elsewhere, or keep it and don't look at the website again.0

You're assuming that the left hand and right hand know what each other is doing.
Orders and Returns will be handled (probably) by different departments.
It is probable that the OP could cancel the current order for a refund, and place a new order at the lower price, and SD won't have a clue.0 -

And given it's sports direct they may be debited for the new order and refunded in vouchers.0 -
I took a faulty item back the day after purchase to Sports Direct and was refused a refund. I had to stand in front of the till so no one else could buy anything and loudly announce their law-breaking.
Funnily enough, once customers put down their items and walked out of the shop, they decided they'd refund me "as a one off". "No you won't!", I said! "You'll give me the damn money because I'm entitled to it and I'll prosecute you if you don't!"
I can't understand why a shop would cause problems for themselves by breaking laws, and losing customers.0 -

In which case SD would be breaking the law. Refunds must be to the same method as purchase ... unless the consumer agrees otherwise (to accept vouchers).0
