Credit Score issue?

Can someone shed some light on this for me? I check my credit score every month and recently (July) my score too a big hit which I found out was because one utility company recorded my activity incorrectly.
During the time it has taken to get resloved all my other accoutns etc where kepted up to date and everything paid and debt being reduced. Now the error has been resloved and removed I was expecting my score to go back to pre error score and in fact it has pnly gone up by a few points.
I dropped 72 points (clear score this is) but now gone up by 6 points. Is this right or is there something I am missing?
Checked my report and it all mirrors the report before the utility company recorded incorrectly......

Fear not.
The score is a made up number that doesn't reflect your credit worthiness. No one but you ever sees it.
As long as the data is correct, that's all that matters.0 -
The score isnt important its the history a lender looks at. As long as everything is correct on your file I wouldnt worry too much.
I would join all the free sites Noddle, Money saving experts credit club etc if you havent already.0
