E:30/11 Win 1 Of 5 Copies Of Tony Robinsons Cunning Night Out On DVD

ACORN MEDIA presents Tony Robinson’s first one man comedy show Cunning Night Out available on DVD this November. Tony Robinson is known to millions of television fans as Baldrick in the classic comedy “Blackadder” and recently as the face of Channel 4’s history programmes “Time Team” and “Worst Jobs in History”. Tony is also a respected not only as a comedy actor but also is a writer, presenter and to a generation of adults as the creator of classic children’s ground - breaking series “Maid Marian”.
The 93 minute DVD was filmed earlier this year at Cheltenham Town Hall as part of his 60 night sell out one man comedy tour. The DVD perfectly captures a unique theatrical experience that fans will treasure. Written and starring Tony Robinson, he cleverly mixes history, lovingly told family stories and anecdotes on his career to present a show that is funny, poignant and extremely entertaining.

By using the example of his father he presents the story of the “little man of history” comparing his life and career to specific tales of the forgotten millions who did “lousy jobs”. He tells the story of his family and career from the start at age 13 when he found his first taste of fame as the Artful Dodger in the first stage production of the musical “Oliver” to his filming with Judy Garland and John Wayne to “Blackadder” and “Time Team”. Tony’s skill as a raconteur and comedian are amplified as he relates rib tickling stories on his life and career over the past 50 years. He cleverly mixes comedy, and historical fact to bring about an evening that is a joyous look at the life and times of one of Britain’s best loved TV faces.

Using clips and photographs to add to the fun, Tony’s performance is an energetic tour de force as he lets the audience into the secrets of filming “Time Team” to stories about his most famous creation Baldrick and the making of “Blackadder.”

The DVD contains host of extra footage that includes a question and answer section with the audience. Tony answers a selection of key questions including what time in history would he like to go back to? Plus the most important question of all is now finally answered, will there be another series of “Blackadder”?
