Starring Ben Miller, Sarah Alexander and Alison Steadman, ‘The Worst Week Of My Life’ returns to celebrate the festive season with a catalogue of mishaps and excruciatingly embarrassing situations.
Howard and Mel are looking forward to their first Christmas as a family with their new baby daughter, Emily. However, for Howard and those close to him, life is rarely that simple. From suicidal secretaries to maniacal relatives, homicidal boyfriends and a belligerent Santa, circumstances conspire to make this a Christmas to remember – for all the wrong reasons.
The Yuletide themed three-part special sees Howard treading the inevitable minefield that is his first Christmas with the in-laws. Accident-prone Howard makes his own unique mark on Christmas, by first turning up drunk at his in-laws and then doing something despicable with the Christmas goose before getting glued to his father-in-law, !!!!!!, and finally setting the Christmas tree on fire! Surely there is no way that Howard can redeem himself and somehow save Christmas?
Also starring Geoffrey Whitehead, Janine Duvitski and Ronald Pickup, The Worst Christmas of My Life was written, produced and directed by Mark Bussell and Justin Sbresni (The Robinsons). The series was first aired in December 2006 and is available on DVD from 19th November 2007.
In addition, The Worst Week Complete Collection will be released on 19th November, priced £34.99. The box set features The Worst Christmas of My Life alongside the hilarious first two series of The Worst Week of My Life where Howard and Mel tackle marriage and their first baby.
