I am selling my house in Salford after 2 1/2 years i stand to make a good profit. i am not moving into a new place so have all my furniture in there. i am not bothered about keeoping it and was thinking how i can get rid of it without the hassle of ebay but not give it away for free!!
Its all argos/ikea/habitat style all bought new when i got the house. Wondered if anyone had an idea?? Have heard of house clearance but would they pay me anything??
Thanks
Sal

Your furniture is in effect second hand & as it isn't a long established named brand such as Parker Knoll for instance, it will have very little resale value.
You'll get peanuts from a house clearance place & maybe your best bet would be to advertise in a local paper or on gumtree, somewhere like that where you might be lucky enough to find someone who is setting up home & will be looking for many of the items you are selling. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided
#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now
#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing0 -
I sold most of my stuff to the person that bought my house
Saved me the hassle of getting rid of things, especially bulky items like sofa etc.0
