PCN after using RingGo app

Hi,
I have received a PCN from First Parking, I parked at university and thought that because the app made it available for me to pay to park there, I could. The letter is addressed to me and has photos of me driving in and out but no images of me parked (half the car park is students and staff, I was unaware of this at the time). I believe the area is also for permit holders, I just really don’t understand if there are pay points and the app let me, why I have been hit with the charge. Should I appeal?

Well for a start the NTK should say why the PCN was issued, and the car parks are supposed to have clear signage to explain all the T& C's of parking.


Of course you should appeal, no one that comes here for advice looking to pay these scam charges.


You need to get up to speed with this whole sorry scam of a situation by reading the newbies thread on the first page near the top of this forum, all the help you need is there.


Including your template first appeal.

the photos are of the vehicle , not a person

edit your post to state the DRIVER for what happened on the day and the KEEPER for all the postal paperwork that has arrived since

no "MY , ME , MYSELF & I" in your posts here, no blabbing or dobbing people in

then read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread as to what to do next

its currently sat at the top of this forum

research is the key here, so read and digest it several times

then appeal as keeper, no telling a PPC who may have been driving


what does the NTK actually say is the reason for sending it ?

non-payment ? - overstay ? - parking in a permit only section ? what ? (word for word)

or add a redacted pic (with your name , address and VRM and reference blanked out by suitably placed card or post its) and add it to tinypic, then add a dead URL here to tinypic for the photo (front and back pics)

make it dead by changing http to hxxp in the links


take pics of the signs and add them too, same methods as above

I’ve read the newbie thread, I just was unsure of which parts applied to me.
It says that I was in a breach of the terms and conditions of parking namely parked without valid parking ticket/permit

no , it states that the DRIVER was in breach of terms etc

it also says that the keeper can name the driver or after say 28 days the keeper is liable under POFA2012 (it is addressed to the KEEPER, not the DRIVER)

please read what I said and edit your posts accordingly

learn to speak in the 3rd person, narrating a story, not a biography

these companies can read what is written here and use it as evidence , when you write stuff on the internet you are PUBLISHING it too

never reveal information on the internet, it costs money , so edit your 2 posts above and no more writing of self incriminating words, in the USA its "pleading the fifth"
