Morning all.
I slept reasonably well, no dreams or nightmares thank goodness.
The sun is out here but it is cold, I had to pull the comforter up over us in the night .
The Chinese takeaway last night was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed.
The WM is doing it's thing with the first wash and the bedding is waiting in the wings. I shall hang it out even if it only gets to blow about a bit. I shall empty the DW and prep the veg for lunch in a mo. DD and DGC are also coming for lunch ( DSil has gone to watch his beloved Liverpool ) but DGS has gone to play in a football match first. We are having roast chicken etc followed by fruit in jelly and custard/ ice cream for after. Dad has an open invitation so he may come or not, he has plenty in his freezer/cupboards anyway so he won't starve.
Nothing much else planned for today :j. Hope everyone has a good Sunday.
TA my extra store cupboard is also a wardrobe in DD's old room. Hope Bob has a reasonably comfortable day. Take care of yourself, sending you all lots of love and hugs.
Nelski :A I'm sending hugs to you my BFF. Now don't work too hard today. Please send Holly my love when you speak to her.
I shall send the Sandman out to those who are having sleep problems, I wonder if it's the change in the seasons causing the sleeplessness ?
Thinking of those struggling at present, the poorly and their carers.
Take care and the hug bucket has been replenished, so please take as many as you want/need.
I suppose I had better get dressed before I hang out the washing, don't want to give the neighbours a fright :rotfl:.
love nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Morning all,
AOD there is usually an inner ring of plastic on the gammon joint which I leave on, I remove the outer packaging and leave the inner one on xx
Yesterday was terrible weather wise winds and howling rain all afternoon and evening poor OH got soaked to the skin putting the new gate up but wouldn't some in till it was done, we lit the fire and had a cosy afternoon with the wind and rain lashing against the windows.
My mum grabbed me a bit of YS brisket so that will be dinner for us later on, its only a tiny bit so will probs only do one meal but I will do enough pots and veg for tomorrow and cook some pork belly strips to go with it.
Sunny day today so will get little miss out for a good long walk after her quick one in the rain yesterday.
TA thoughts to you all as always xx
Specky hope your Gran is ok xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Good morning, sending hugs and spoons from near the beautiful Malvern Hills, rather wet yesterday, but sunny and chilly today. We will wrap up warm and perhaps try a little walk alongside the river at Worcester, we have dear dog with us so don't want to go to shopping area, not nice for her and too much hanging about while one or other goes into shops, nothing we need anyway.
Wifi on site fair, not brilliant, but so expensive now, worked out this morning that the cost of wifi could end up being just under £100 for the year. I do have some phone data available, but once again are in a place with no EE or O2 coverage, love the rural areas, but .........
Keep safe and snug everyone, thinking of those poorly, caring for others or troubled. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Morning (((((((((( hugs )))))))))) if you need one. Especially the TA's.
SO the sound difference on your humax is not the box but the programme you are watching, the volume seems to be lower on older problems. We sometimes turn the sound up for a programme, go to watch another and have to turn the sound down quickly before it deafens us.
Harvest supper went off well, as usual the food was delicious, about 40 people there. We got home just after 9pm, so went straight to be and read for a while.
Bright first thing but it has clouded over. OH says it was down to zero last night....brrrrr.......
We are off to DD2's today for tea. The carrot cake is made, I just hope its up to standard, its ages since I last made one.0 -
Good morning
Just to wish everyone a pleasant Sunday....I dis write a longer post earlier but it disappeared0 -

I don't know how to quote part of Csarinas post, but I agree, our sound goes up and down with different programmes too.0 -

Just click the quote button at the bottom of your post, the above comes up, take out anything you do not want to post about and thats it. Then submit reply.0 -
Good afternoon everyone :hello:
I am late posting today as I have been sleeping:D. I went to bed last night at 10.30, woke at 3am for a wee and then slept again till 12 noon! Feel I have caught up a bit now :rotfl:. Woke to the lovely sound and smell of dinner being cooked, roast beef and all the trimmings. Looking forward to that I can tell you.
Good to hear from you Mrs TA, I am glad the hospice is looking after Bob so well and also you and your family. Sending you massive hugs xx
I am planning an afternoon sorting out my bedroom as there is stuff everywhere and it looks very messy. Steve is going to help as well so that will take a bit less time. We are also looking forward to Dr Who this evening, Lee is a massive fan too so he will be joining us on the sofa.
I was supposed to make a cheesecake this morning but whoops, that didn't happen. Oh well, if I get time I will make it later and we can have it tomorrow. I normally make a pudding on Sunday but maybe I can persuade Phoebe to make a sponge cake as hers are so much lighter than mine.
Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx0 -
Went to bed at 3, woke up at nine, another bus was involved
have laid down the law regarding new bed, it must be done today. OH has gone to town to purchase various things, and phoned a friend to help with getting the new mattress upstairs and I have taken appart the old bed. thoroughly pooped now.
Made chicken paprika with spatzle last night, it was very very nice and there's enough left to go in the freezer for a meal for himself, saves me cooking again when I don't feel like it. Today, not sure what it's going to be, maybe fajitas or chicken casserole to use up the rest of the chicken. I'd rather a roast but I CBA to cook. Maybe next week.
Good to know it's good day for some of you, incantations of stupour for those who aren't sleeping and happy cake day to those with cake, grrr jealous beef roast dayI could easily eat one of those...hope it's a good day for a shave TA.That's really nice news Lainey. The bungalow sounds lovely too Gers and wotcha ex-cupboard nanny. Stupendous Sunday to everyone.
