A short tale to warm the cockles :A
Whilst doing the weekly shop in Mr Ts on Saturday morning I joined the checkout behind a chap who seemed to be buying up the shop . He was putting loads through and filling a large trolley - obviously a party of some sort.
Anyhoo - when all had gone through his total bill was around £430 . The lady on the checkout asked him if he was collecting the Tesco School Sport Vouchers - he said no and then asked me if I would like them :T . After I had snapped his hand off for them (I work in a school) I thanked him nicely.
She then asked if he had a club card, again he said no, then turned and asked if I had one, on saying yes I did he said hand it over to the checkout lady then - blow me I got his £400 worth of clubcard points as well - worth around £16 on deals - woo hoo :T :j
I asked what he was buying for and it was a group organised firework party (paid in £50 notes as well). So despite a bit of a wait it came up trumps.
Some people are sooooooooo nice.:o

That sort of thing doesn't happen often, and its really good that he decided to share the benefits. He could easily have not asked you and let the points go to waste.:T :T :TNot heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

I am a Sainburys shopper and am so tempted to ask people if I can have their points if they are in front of me and don't have a nectar card, but haven't yet plucked up the courage to ask! lol0 -

Yes, there are still nice folk out there. What a lovely gesture.
About 2 months ago DD and I went shopping and still had over an hour on our parking ticket. Before I could do it (I was strapping DGSs into car) DD was going up to pay machine to see if anyone wanted our leftovers. I think I have brought her up the right way (well, sometimes)! She was a terrible teenager and she is lucky to be alive to produce my 3 beautiful grandsons!
