Mum wants to transfer house ownership. I'm on ESA

I know someone who transferred his house to his kids to avoid care home fees. He was still youngish (60s). Met a younger woman and moved her in. Kids disapproved, they fell out, kids kicked dad out of the house and sold it. Guy ended up essentially homeless, had to move into rented accommodation. Younger woman did a runner once the cash tap ran dry.
