My credit file

Hey guys
At the begining of July I had a few debts, which have now been cleared I.E credit cards & catalogues before that I’d had a few issues with money in the earlier part of the year now I’m on the straight and narrow (feeling great.)
The thing is my my credit score hasn’t seemed to have changed. Even though I’ve not missed payments and I’m up to date with everything. No high balances etc.
I use MSE Credit Club (which my score went up slightly on my last update)
and totally money, however according to totally money’s live credit score I’ve dropped 13 points in the month. I don’t understand how this can be. The only debt I have is a Very account which is being paid monthly and my monthly credit card bill.
How up to date are credit scores? I’ve been trying hard to improve my rating this summer in preparations for plans I have next year.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Your MSE Credit Club (Experian) credit score in not seen by lenders and not use either. A lender scores you against their own independent criteria and policies using the data contained within your credit file(s), added to the data you submit in a credit application.
If you want your credit file history to improve, then you need to pay your Very catalogue above the minimum due, and your credit card balance in full every month after your statement is received (and before the due date). The easiest way to manage both your Very account and your card account is to pay by DD.
You also need to be on the electoral registerI work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

The scores are largely made up. They're just for entertainment purposes.
No one but you sees it, so just ignore it.
Just continue to manage your credit responsibly.0
